When Brown moved away from paper-based registration, students feared that the new electronic system would not support the same sharing of knowledge and sense of academic exploration. In my storyboard, I identify the key interactions that comprise the beloved “shopping period” that traditionally follows preregistration at Brown.
A successful electronic system would not only acknowledge these critical touch points, but also incorporate them to create a more cohesive experience for the user. Unfortunately, Brown’s current registration portal does not take full advantage of this opportunity.
