The Flour Pots are a set of custom prep bowls designed for mise en placeāa cooking practice in which the chef readies all ingredients ahead of time and lays them out, allowing him to transition seamlessly as he prepares a dish. My process included developing the form, CNC-milling the mold inserts, shooting polypropylene, and manually overmolding several of the bowls with food-grade silicone. A locating feature on the bottom ensures a uniform coating of silicone and creates a raised area on which to place a personal logo.
In addition to the following images, please check out the accompanying process document for more details.
