Kids’ Exploration Package
Geared toward preteen children looking to explore the city of Providence, this package provides the necessary tools to construct an exciting day. Gathering input from the members of a sixth grade class revealed a common desire for increased independence from parents and confusion surrounding the proper use of existing maps.
A numbered set of cards provides useful information about Providence’s kid-friendly locales, as well as their proximity to one another. With a laminated map and wet-erase marker, the focus remains on preparation and route-planning. Kids gain a sense of control over their travels without costing parents their peace of mind.
