The Ouro and Parable rings and Oyster earrings and pendant are the fruits of a study in silver as a medium and investment casting as a means of producing highly organic, sculptural forms. I shaped each piece in wax, invested it in plaster, cast it in silver, and finished it by hand. The earrings and pendant—which feature a repeating form—also involved making a silicone mold and shooting multiple copies in wax.
Working in a precious metal at such a small scale required great attention to detail, both in design and execution. Embracing the process, however, resulted in a set of highly resolved pieces that will last.
